Today was a date day with Nika. After a bit of stretching and planning over the breakfast,
we started our date with going to the high park. We had been going to the park but had never visited the zoo together. So we went to the zoo. It is small cute zoo. Zoo always have mixed feeling and opinions among people. I think some aspects of zoo are sad, especially if they are kept in captivity primarily for amusement of humans. At the same time, with rapid construction and clearing of forests, if zoo are the only safe places for some animals, and zoo strongly believe in preservation and thus try their best to cater to the natural care for them, then we do need them.

We saw Indian peacocks (I personally donβt know if they need to be here in Canada), I hope they are happy. I was very impressed to see them. Both males had big train of feathers on display.

From the south end of the park, the little Tibet is a short walk, or you can take a streetcar for a few stops. We went to a cafe that Nika had seen on her walk earlier. It is a small cafe, called tiny cafe. It is a Nepalese cafe, selling Momos, Nepalese bread, and butter tea. Butter tea surprised us the most. I wonβt give the spoiler.
